I started piano after leaving York University having studied chemistry. I was 21 years of age, totally lost, and heading for a breakdown. That happened in 1992 Music started in 1989. Had I not taken up the piano my mother said I'd be dead. I was diagnosed with psychotic depression in 1992 having quit two consecutive programming jobs. By 1997 I had passed grade 8 piano with merit. Ultimately, I entered for an ARSM diploma but failed by 2 marks. Covid caused the cancellation of my DipLCM diploma, so anyway, I did Okay with the piano.
